slyprenticeI've been trying to, over the last twenty minutes or so, clean up some of my livejournal. Most of the communities I'm a part of are either severly outdated or I've lost interest in them. Not so suprising considering that I've had this particular journal since 2004 and had a previous livejournal for a few years more than that - meaning that some of those communities are hold overs from that one. I really wish there was an easier (i.e. bulk edit) feature on livejournal for communities.
I'm still fairly involved in fandom and have plenty of interests but, honestly, a lot of my old fandoms - Harry Potter, Lost, Anita Blake, CSI: Vegas - I just don't really care about anymore. Don't get me wrong, I still read fan fiction in them all but I really don't need to be a part of every community out there and can easily search should I ever want to dive back in. I think I'm going to have to be careful with my dreamwidth journal so I don't end up in this situation again.
This is what I get for being ADD-ish and having to jump from interest to interest. :(
Anyway, back to leaving communities. Oy vey.
